What is Better Bitewing? Better Bitewing is a softer, rounded bitewing, designed to make it more comfortable for patients to have dental X-rays taken. Standard X-ray mouth pads are incredibly uncomfortable, with a rectangular shape and sharp edges that can cut into tender parts of the mouth when the user bites down. Better Bitewing is designed to more closely follow the shape of the mouth, curving away from the gums and tapering towards the back to make it less painful to hold it in the mouth. Better Bitewing features rounded edges and corners, and can be used on both sides of the mouth.
